Not what I expected

The picture or information does not identify what it is made of. I assumed that it would be glass since it is to hang glass ornaments. It is acrylic and looks like it when it is hanging. I do like the idea of it and it works well to display my blown glass balls, but the acrylic looks 'cheesy'. My husband wanted me to send it back but I can't find anything else that hangs.
